Winter Bird Walk
– FREE (must pre-register) NMP
Winter in North Mountain Park is the time when resident
and migratory birds share the park’s habitat actively
looking for food. They can be easier to spot as leaves are
no longer on many of the park’s trees. Some birds may also
be calling in the park at this time of year. We’ll be searching
for sparrows, White-breasted Nuthatch, Black-capped
Chickadees, finch species, Pine Siskin, woodpeckers,
raptors, and others. Wear shoes and clothing suitable for
winter-time weather. Loaner binoculars will be available.
